I came out of the womb curious & quite impressionable. The material world around me: playing outside in nature, or playing inside the cabinets of figurines and old abandoned homes stuffed to the brim with junk. I was desperate to create, invent, and experiment. My hands reached out towards the objects within my vicinity, and I tried. I stuffed an award ribbon in my Easy Bake Oven (my mom was not too happy about that), I was pulling toys apart, and gluing odd materials onto paper. And my favorite: taking full tubes of toothpaste or lotion and squeezing them out all on the sidewalk in front of my home. Child-like wonder fuels my artistic practice and how I live my life.
